Arc Welding

Arc welding is an ideal process for automation due to its labor & quality intensive nature. Rimrock-Wolf Robotics specializes in gas metal arc welding (GMAW or MIG), heavy welding, tandem welding, submerged arc welding (SAW) and laser hybrid welding. GMAW or MIG welding is the most common form and works well for most applications. Heavy welding (multi-pass), tandem welding (twin wire) and submerged arc welding are utilized for thicker metals and provide a high deposition rate at a reasonable welding speed with a high heat residual. Laser hybrid welding can be used to reduce the number of passes on thick members, reduce distortion, or increase throughput versus traditional GMAW welding.

Rimrock's expert welding engineers can conduct a feasibility study on your application to determine the best methods to improve your arc welding throughput, product quality, and cycle time. A feasibility study will help you determine if a standard LeanArc™ cell can handle the process or if a custom engineered system is required. In either case, Rimrock's experience guarantees that you'll get the most comprehensive system at the lowest possible price.
